Après un bref aperçu historique sur les relations des Samaritains avec les autres Juifs, nous étudierons cet extrait en le subdivisant en trois grandes parties. La première partie comprendra: l’analyse littéraire. Dans la deuxième partie, nous ferons une étude détaillée de l’extrait en la subdivisant autour de trois thèmes fondamentaux: l’eau vive, le mariage et le culte. En troisième lieu nous tâcherons de faire ressortir la dimension pastorale et ecclésiologique du texte dans son ensemble. Enfin, nous donnerons notre point de vue personnel sur cet extrait en essayant d’appréhender sa valeur dans le contexte actuel d’inculturation.
Después de una breve presentación histórica sobre las relaciones de los samaritanos con el resto de los judíos, estudiaremos este texto en tres partes. La primera parte comprenderá el análisis literario. En la segunda haremos un estudio detallado del texto en torno a tres temas fundamentales : el agua viva, el matrimonio y el culto. En la tercera intentaremos subrayar la dimensión pastoral y eclesiológica del texto en su conjunto. Finalmente daremos nuestro punto de vista personal sobre este texto intentando captar su valor en el contexto actual de la inculturación 
After a brief historic presentation about the interaction of the Samaritans with the rest of the Jews, we will study this text in three parts. The first part will treat a literary analysis. In the second part, we will engage in a detailed study of the text in terms of three fundamental themes: living water, marriage and worship. In the third, we will try to underscore the pastoral and ecclesiological dimensions of the text in its entirety. Finally, we will give our personal point of view about this text, trying to grasp its merits in the modern context of inculturation. 
Dopo una breve presentazione storica sulle relazioni dei Samaritani con gli altri Giudei, studieremo questo testo in tre parti: La prima parte comprenderà l’analisi letteraria. Nella seconda faremo uno studio dettagliato del testo su tre temi fondamentali: l’acqua viva, il matrimonio e il culto. Nella terza,cercheremo di sottolineare la dimensione pastorale ed ecclesiologica del testo nel suo insieme. Infine daremo il nostro personale punto di vista su questo testo tentando di capire il suo valore nel contesto attuale della inculturazione.
